Will turned seven months old last month - in fact he's almost eight months old! I'm a little bit behind on posting. We've been busy!
He continues to be a happy little guy. One of my favorite things is when people stop to dote on Will. It happens all the time in public - at the grocery store, doctor's office, in the parking lot. The bright eyed boy attracts all kinds of interesting people, young and old, and brings smiles to complete strangers faces. Will is eating all kinds of fruits and veggies - he doesn't like peas and isn't a huge fan of carrots, but otherwise he likes everything he's tried. We started giving him little cereal puffs and will continue with other finger foods in the coming weeks. He's talking and experimenting with his voice. He said da-da for about two weeks straight, but now his favorite babble as of late is ut-oh. I don't think he knows what the words mean, but it sure is fun for Mark and I and a glimpse of what is to come. Will sits without support and isn't swaddled at night anymore so he's quite the roller/mover/tummy time master in his crib.

After returning from Disney the three of us made a business trip to New York City (my last business trip with the University of Chicago - my position was recently eliminated so I'm embarking on a new career - full-time stay at home mom and COO of Casa Riebesehl). We also took an eight hour road trip to Charlotte, NC to visit our friends Mike, Melissa and Griffin Moloney. Both trips confirmed once again that Will is a resilient, adaptable little man. Lowlights included being stuck on the Amtrak train for seven hours instead of three (thanks damaged train tracks) and a run in on I-85 with a horrible summer thunderstorm that included golf ball sized hail and flash flooding. Highlights included taking Will on his first walk in Central Park, catching up with old friends in both cities, watching Will splash in the pool and celebrating Mark's birthday as a family of three. Summer has arrived in DC (so has the heat) and we've got lots of fun things planned including a trip to Wisconsin which I better go start packing for. Enjoy these pics in the meantime...
